The solution I learned along the way is building multiple revenue streams that match different energy levels, and that’s what I’d love to share with you today. So over the years, I’ve been building a portfolio of revenue streams that work together. Some require my full presence, others run more independently.

Typically, seasonal business design refers to how companies adjust their sales, staffing, or operations depending on the calendar year or specific events - summer rushes, holiday seasons, back-to-school periods. It's about aligning your inventory, marketing, staffing, and finances with these predictable peaks and troughs.

But my concept of seasonal business design is different. And it's born from years of experiencing the burnout cycle I talked about in my first post.

We'll explore that more in the coming days and weeks, but for today I wanted to focus on the singular habit that I believe makes the most difference for entrepreneurs - the learning habit.

A lot of people talk about work-life balance or work-life integration, but has anyone talked about entrepreneurship-life balance? To be honest, it's challenging because founders often make their businesses their "baby" and build their entire lives around them.

So how do you actually find this balance? How can you build your business around your life, not the other way around?

For years, I had a love-hate relationship with social media. Actually, mostly hate.

I'd post for a while, then disappear. Overthink my content strategy, then freeze. At one point, I completely uninstalled all my apps and didn't use social media for a whole year. It was honestly great for my mental health, but terrible for my business.

I used to write and share on the internet a lot. But over time, the "pressure of perfection" killed the joy of sharing.

I have a lot of friends and acquaintances who often ask me tips on starting a business. Most of them want tips on marketing and branding, but they’re surprised to hear that I often give tips on how to start a low-cost business. The reason is that I learned that the most successful founders don't start with a lot of capital, but instead they start with creativity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to test their ideas before they invest heavily.

The seed for this entire transformation was planted back in 2022. I was on a plane, and I listened to a Tim Ferriss interview with Sam Corcos, the founder of Levels, a metabolic health company. I replayed that interview three times, each time writing more notes.

In that conversation, Sam shared insights about leadership, communication, and organisational structure that fundamentally shifted how I think about building teams. A few specific lessons stood out and became the foundation for everything I do now, and I’m happy to share them with you:
